OUR MISSION
To provide children with a safe, supportive and creative space where they can express themselves though music and develop their musical and vocal skills.
We aim to celebrate cultural diversity, build self-confidence, leadership skills and discipline, and promote unity through music in children between the ages of 9 to 16 years.
About the Choir
The North West Children's Choir currently has 96 members from various schools in Potchefstroom, Klerskdorp and Fochville, which are situated in the North West Province. The boys and girls in the choir are between 9 and 16 years of age.
At the beginning of the choir year, we have a Rehearsal Camp where choristers learn the new music and get to know each other, while having lots of fun! The weekend concludes with a short informal concert for the parents.
Highlights of our choir year include our annual Picnic Concert in February/March, and our Choir Festival in Potchefstroom during May.
